Fetus Stench: Stillbirth

I’ll be honest (again), I hardly ever read band biographies. I prefer to I let the music speak for the band, and in this case I’m being told that Fetus Stench are a young band, or a bunch of noobs that have yet to find their musical feet, so in the interim they’re pulling off all the Swedish old-school death metal clichés by emulating the hero’s of the genre. But emulate they do flawlessly, if you played me this and said, “hey, this shit is a demo of Vomitory’s new album since they got a new rump-reamer on vocals”, I might be fooled for a few minutes. These guys would be a dream signing for any label, if they’re still rocking out in 5 years time I’d think we’d have a much higher scoring album on our hands. They pull off the standards pretty well but at times it feels as if they are out of their depth and hanging together by a thread off a cliff, from whence only experience will save them. So let them gig and drink and party like a death band should, and we’ll hope for great things.

5/10: For not sucking complete baloney polony and creating a glimmer of hope for the future.

After going thru that crap, you most likely wanna read something way more interesting. You do, admit it.
